Why is it necessary to level the floor in the car?

Our new levelling system is designed to level the floor in cars where there is no flat surface after the rear seats have been folded down, or where there is a step due to the lack of a double floor.

To ensure that you can rest and sleep well in the car, it is essential to create a level surface in the interior.

Some car manufacturers (e.g. Volvo) take this into account when designing their models. In such models, folding down the backrests creates a flat surface on which the mattress can be easily spread out. However, this is not automatic, and in many car models and older cars, a flat surface cannot be achieved immediately, so a solution must be found.

Leveling system S4D

The result of our long-term development is a universal product that can be used in all cars thanks to its variability and height adjustment, and that can compensate for height differences between 60 and 180 mm.

For our Levelling System S4D we use the most modern top material, which is the best choice thanks to its enormous flexibility and good strength, low weight, super design and long durability.

Production is carried out on the latest CNC machines, which allow the use of cutting-edge technologies such as water jet cutting and laser engraving.

As with all of our products, our Levelling System S4D had to be designed with high quality carrying cases so that it can be easily transported and stored when not in use.

Levelling system S4D - the basic version consists of the following six components:

1x middle piece (920x100x120mm) – in the basic version, it has three layers

• 1st layer 60 mm
• 2nd layer 30 mm
• 3rd layer 30 mm

2x intermediate pieces (920x60x120mm) – in the basic version, it has three layers

• 1st layer 60 mm
• 2nd layer 30 mm
• 3rd layer 30 mm

2x wedge pieces (460x300x60-20mm) – consists of three parts

• Supports the back and is used under the upper part of the SPACEBED® mattress on the folded down backrest where an incline needs to be levelled.
• Thanks to the 'puzzle' system, the wedges can be easily combined to find the right angle needed to level the surface.

Note:

1. the centre section and intermediate section can be extended (raised) with further additional layers. These additional layers can be ordered on request for a fee

2. The Leveling System S4D is available in three colours. The colours are purely decorative and have no influence on the function of the system, e.g. its rigidity. The dimensions are also identical for all three colours.

Thanks to the removable centre section, the S4D levelling system can also be used in vehicles with smaller boots. Furthermore, the 'S4D levelling system' can be used as an organiser in the boot when it is not being used as a floor levelling device. Everything is perfectly lined up in the supplied bag.

!!! Attention !!! Our levelling systems are only compatible with our SPACEBED® mattresses! A normal mattress or air mattress without a firm base plate cannot be used.
